Heinemann’s math classroom resources offer practical tools and strategies for teachers. Do The Math

Do The Math® professional learning develops teachers’ understanding of the Do The Math program and how it builds students’ numerical reasoning. Do The Math coaches work with school leaders and classroom teachers to create learning partnerships that are sustainable, data-driven, and customized to participants' particular needs.


Listening to Learn

Our Listening to Learn series of professional learning opportunities provides teachers with the understanding and skills needed to implement Listening to Learn interviews with their students, using what they learn to plan for classroom instruction that supports students' numerical reasoning.


Math in Practice

This Math in Practice school-based learning illustrates practical strategies that make math come alive for students. Learn questioning techniques, interactive tasks, helpful suggestions, and an array of resources and doable ways to build math understanding. Participants will discover a wealth of classroom-ready ideas and activities to take immediately back to the classroom.


Math by the Book

In Math by the Book professional learning, you will explore fun and meaningful ways to bring context to your math teaching through children's books that are just right for students in grades K-5. You will discover a wealth of children's literature that set a perfect context for exploring mathematics and examining ideas for connecting literature to the math skills and concepts you are teaching.
