Permissions Request

Permission is required to reprint or reproduce material (in print or electronic format) from Heinemann products, which are protected by copyright. If granted, permission is usually accompanied by a number of conditions and requires a minimum fee of $50.

To find out who owns the copyright for a particular work, consult the copyright page, acknowledgements, credits, and notes at the back of the book. We will not reply to requests for material that Heinemann does not own or publish. If you have a photocopy that does not contain a copyright notice, refer to an original copy of the work. You may also search the U.S. Copyright Office's records at https://www.copyright.gov/public-records/. For works originally published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books and Media, please contact HarperCollins.
