Bruce C. Appleby

Bruce C. Appleby is Professor of English and Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has taught at all grade levels from pre-school through graduate school and now does in-service and pre-service teacher education for all levels. He has published widely and does workshops and speeches nationally and internationally in such diverse areas as multi-media, computers and composition, gender issues, sexual harassment, teaching literature, whole language in the secondary school, and reading and writing across the curriculum.
