Throughout the four sessions participants will:

  • Expand their knowledge of the nine Categories of Learning in the Word Study Continuum,
  • Learn the lesson structures,
  • View videos of phonics lessons in action,
  • Consider ways to plan phonics and word study lessons across the school year,
  • Become aware of a variety of assessment tasks that can be used as diagnostic and monitoring tools, and
  • Explore ways to support letter, sound, and word learning throughout a comprehensive literacy framework.
