Number Talks

Number Talks are five- to fifteen-minute classroom conversations around purposefully crafted computation problems solved mentally. Number Talks professional learning supports teachers with implementing and facilitating number talks as a daily routine, empowering students to develop numerical reasoning.

Math Workshop

Math Workshop is a structure for math class that encourages independence, responsibility, and risk-taking in students, creating mathematicians with a solid foundation of number sense that results in a conceptual understanding of mathematics. Our professional learning supports teachers to implement Math Workshop, providing students with engaging learning experiences that promote mathematical thinking, mathematical discourse, and a positive disposition toward mathematics.

Mastering the Basic Math Facts

In this school-based learning participants gain insights into the teaching of basic math facts, including a multitude of instructional strategies, teacher tips, and classroom activities to help students master their facts while strengthening their understanding of numbers, patterns, and properties.

Putting the Practices Into Action

The Standards for Mathematical Practice describe eight "habits of mind" that promise to elevate students' learning of math from knowledge to application and bring rigor to our math classrooms. In this professional learning, you will first carefully unpack each of the Practices and then you will be given practical ideas and activities to help you quickly integrate them into your existing math program.
