Holly Slaughter is the author the Heinemann title Small Group Writing Conferences, K–5. She is a literacy staff developer for Pinellas County Schools in Florida and assistant coordinator for The Poynter Institute for Media Studies Writers Camp. As a classroom teacher in Pinellas County, she has taught grades three and four as well as exceptional needs students in grades four and five.
