Casey Maxwell

Casey Maxwell is a primary grades staff developer at TCRWP. In this role, Casey supports schools throughout New York City and the U.S. in developing reading and writing workshops that are rigorous, responsive, student-centered, and joyful. She also leads summer institutes and workshops on children’s literature and early literacy instruction. Casey is passionate about the power of workshop teaching to reach all learners, and helps teachers to develop classroom strategies to support the wide variety of readers and writers in their classrooms. In all of her work, Casey draws on her ten years of experience teaching primary grades in NYC, along with her love of books and deep enjoyment of young children’s amazing sense of humor.
