Teaching Reading in Multilingual Classrooms gives them the practical instructional practices they need to teach every student well, and the research and theory to understand both their students' needs and their own role in addressing them.
Through lively activities, discussion, and vignettes carefully chosen by the Freemans, teachers will investigate how students learn to read in their native and second languages, unlock motivation and enthusiasm through engagement with carefully selected texts, learn four skills-based strategies to develop ELLs' reading, and discover assessment techniques for emergent readers' skills.
