Jay Robinson

Jay Robinson received his doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, and held his first faculty post at Northwestern University. He then moved to the University of Michigan in 1965, where he stayed for nearly forty years. Robinson served as Chairman of the English Department and of the English Composition Board, and he was Director of the Center for Educational Improvement Through Collaboration, a University unit formed to promote school/university work on mutual educational problems.
