About the Units of Study Virtual Teaching Resources, 2022-23 Subscriptions

Because so many of you in the Units of Study community requested ongoing access to the Units of Study Virtual Teaching Resources—especially as models for the most effective ways to teach minilessons—Lucy Calkins and her Teachers College Reading and Writing Project colleagues will continue to offer these subscriptions for another year. These Virtual Teaching Resources are designed for student use in any classes that remain virtual as well as for teacher PD.

Units Included in the Grade K Reading Virtual Teaching Resources, 2022-23

The Units of Study in Reading Virtual Teaching Resources, Grade K subscription includes virtual teaching resources for the following units:

  • We Are Readers (BOOK 1)
  • Emergent Reading: Looking Closely at Familiar Texts (IF…THEN… BOOK)
  • Super Powers: Reading with Print Strategies and Sight Word Power (BOOK 2)
  • Bigger Books, Bigger Reading Muscles (BOOK 3)
  • Becoming Avid Readers (BOOK 4)

Please Note: The units in the 2022–23 UOS VTR do not specifically align to the units in the print sets of Units of Study.
