Reading Minilessons (Grades 4-6): A Fountas & Pinnell Classroom™ Webinar Series
Reading minilessons are short, concise, purposeful lessons with a practical application in a specific area of literacy. There are four types of minilessons: Management, Literary Analysis, Strategies & Skills, and Writing About Reading. Throughout this interactive series, Fountas and Pinnell-trained consultant Chrisie Moritz will explore each type of minilesson, how they connect to The Fountas & Pinnell Literacy Continuum, and how the minilessons use texts from interactive read-aloud as mentor texts. During this series, participants will: Chrisie Moritz is a Fountas and Pinnell-endorsed consultant. She is a National Board certified literacy coach in Fairfax County, Virginia where she teaches, facilitates professional development sessions, and coaches other educators. She presents at conferences and consults with school districts across the country on various topics related to literacy instruction. Chrisie is an author, has taught at Title I schools in North Carolina and Virginia, and served as a Reading Recovery® teacher, Literacy Collaborative District Trainer, and adjunct professor at East Carolina University. Classroom teachers, administrators, curriculum coordinators, literacy specialists, and staff developers. The cost of this four-part webinar series is $159.00 per person. Tuition includes access to the recorded webinar series for 30 days, which begins on the date you receive the link. Please note, access cannot be extended past 30 days. Webinar participants are strongly encouraged to have The Reading Minilessons Book to fully participate in this webinar series.
