Grant Assistance: Build-A-Bear Foundation & Claneil Foundation Special Project Fund

The Heinemann Resource Support Team is here to help educators who are looking to purchase Heinemann Curricular or Intervention Resources but do not have the funding available to do so. The Build-A-Bear Foundation

Applications are accepted January 1 through March 31, 2016.

Recipients may apply for a grant if there is a Build-A-Bear Workshop within 50 miles.

From the foundation web site: "The Build-A-Bear Foundation mission is to add a little more heart to life by providing opportunities for children of all ages to better their communities and share their heart with others."

Funds must directly support programs that promote the values of H.E.A.R.T.

H—Help communities through volunteering.
E—Experience the power of teamwork.
A—Accept people's unique differences.
R—Respect people and animals.
T—Take the lead to drive positive change.

The Claneil Foundation Special Project Fund

Founded in 1968, The Claneil Foundation is a private foundation located in the Philadelphia region that seeks to improve the health of families and communities through advancements in health and human services, a sustainable food system, education, and environmental protection.

Applications are accepted during two cycles, with deadlines on December 1 for the spring cycle and June 30 for the fall cycle. The Special Project Fund is open to letters of intent for consideration in the Spring cycle (Fall cycle by board invitation only). Organizations located in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states of the U.S. are eligible to submit a letter.

The Claneil Foundation Special Project Fund Provides seed funding to emerging nonprofits, or to new projects of established organizations in the areas of:

Education: Programs that prepare youth (Pre-K through undergraduate) for academic success and/or employment.
